[Fate & Free Will ] Astrology for the Week of July 21 - 27

It’s a busy week, we have the Sun moving into Leo and a Leo New Moon. It’s definitely one of those ‘work to get what you want’ new beginnings, but I’m a fan. 

But before we get to that… If you haven’t seen Superman, it’s SO good and I 10/10 recommend it for a little boost to the Jupiter in Cancer mindset and experience.

Monday is the last day of Cancer season and it’s pretty delightful. People are chatty, quick with a joke or a clever comment, and there’s a light, social feel to the day. But it’s easy to get snappy when someone challenges your facts or tries to rush you.

• Potential Challenges: Snapping during disagreements, talking over people, or losing patience with details.

Tuesday is kind of amazing. I love that the Moon and Sun both waltz into their home signs of Cancer and Leo respectively. It’s the beginning of a new chapter for this year and it’s a nice break between some of the harder aspects of the Cancer chapter and eclipses that will begin in the Virgo chapter. I love that for us. 

Back to today.

The Sun steps into Leo with a sense of pride and purpose, but the Moon's entrance into Cancer runs straight into a wall. 

You might feel weighed down by responsibilities, even as there’s a quiet push to handle things like an adult. It’s the kind of day where showing up strong doesn’t mean you’re not carrying something heavy underneath.

• Potential Challenges: Feeling emotionally unsupported, resenting pressure to perform while holding it together.

Wednesday diplomatic efforts are going to hit a wall of harsh criticism and whoever's doing the criticizing will probably win that fight. 

By the time the dust settles, most people will side with whoever delivered the blunt reality check over the person trying to keep things surface level and pleasant.

• Best for: Accepting that nice doesn't always work, being direct rather than people pleasing, backing the person who speaks harsh truths.

Thursday there is a Leo New Moon at 3:11 pm eastern. It’s intimately tied into all of the themes that will become lasting influences in 2026 and beyond - Uranus in Gemini, Saturn and Neptune in Aries, and Pluto in Aquarius.

This New Moon is an opportunity to step into authority and personal power, but it's getting pulled in completely opposite directions. 

There’s a feeling of being disciplined and ready to build something solid while simultaneously being totally unclear about what that something actually is, *and* some deep transformative force is demanding you completely abandon your current approach to personal authority and start over from scratch.

The weird thing is that sudden disruptions and unexpected opportunities keep popping up that somehow help you navigate between "be a responsible adult" and "burn everything down and reinvent yourself."

• Best for: Kicking off something bold that looks serious on paper but leaves room for reinvention, embracing leadership roles that allow for reinvention, using sudden opportunities to bridge old and new approaches.

What begins as a perfectly reasonable day somehow ends up feeling like someone shook up your snow globe right when you thought everything was settling into place.
