Astrology for the Week of January 31 - February 6

This is the week of the Aquarius New Moon which is the start of the Chinese Lunar Year of the Water Tiger. I said back in December that this week was when the new year would really be getting started and I am ready for it.

Honestly, everyone I know has been feeling stuck and if that’s you - don’t worry, you’re about to get a burst of energy and inspiration that’ll carry you through the rest of winter and into spring.

Monday:

The Moon moves into Aquarius early Monday morning and then builds towards a square with Uranus a little before the New Moon which happens at 11:46 pm. You should expect the unexpected today and with the new moon happening sandwiched between that urge for freedom and a willingness to commit to something that is suggested with a conjunction to Saturn a few hours later… this New Moon is going to be explosive.

Spend Monday getting clear on what you want to accomplish in the Aquarius part of your chart and what you need to leave behind if you’re ever going to accomplish it. 

If you want to reinvent yourself but you’re afraid of what the people in your life will think, you might need to leave behind the need for external validation or the people. If you want the job of your dreams but only if it doesn’t push you outside of your comfort zones, you might need to leave behind your desire to be comfortable.

The only warning I have is, don’t burn bridges just because you want change and fire is pretty. Make sure that any changes you make are in the pursuit of your wicked veracity - your truth.

Monday night is not the night to set the intentions and start building. It’s the night to get clear on what’s holding you back so you can start building a little later in the week.

Thursday, I’m going to write off as a chaotic mess. Of course, that’s going to depend a lot on your natal chart but with the Moon joining Neptune and Mercury standing still to resume forward motion at 10:12 pm I’m fully expecting miscommunications, tech issues, and various forms of drama. Don’t sign contracts, trust but verify, and for the love of all the little monkeys in Oz don’t buy electronics.

Fri-yay! Are you ready to set those Aquarius New Moon plans in motion? The Moon is visible again with the Waxing Crescent in Aries and the Sun joining Saturn. Today is Go Time. Start the thing, call the girl, make the pitch to the new client, launch the program. 

All of the planets are forging ahead and you have till the end of April to harness that power and take some big steps towards your goals.

Focus on doing what you can right now instead of fretting about what isn’t happening fast enough or who isn’t doing what you want them to be doing the exact way you want it to be done.

Sunday night the moon moves into Taurus just before 5 pm. Plan a nice dinner and maybe do a little food prep for the upcoming week as a way to pamper yourself. Speaking as a Cancer Moon, great food goes a long way to making a bad day better, a good day great, and a great day spectacular.
