Astrology for the Week of May 1 - 7

This week has all the drama but in a lot of ways, it feels like the end of the play rather than the build-up or the climax. Pluto starts to review the new territory he’s been exploring, which is the beginning of the end of our Aquarius preview. Mercury reaches the halfway point of the retrograde cycle, bringing about the countdown for the end of our Taurus review. Then we have the eclipse in Scorpio, which is a grand finale.

Monday 5/1:

Monday starts with Pluto stationing retrograde. When a planet is stationing retrograde or direct is when the energy is the most intense. This whole week is an excellent time to get a better understanding of what types of transformation will be developing over the next decade or so.

But that’s not all. We also have Mercury and the Sun meeting up to offer greater clarity about what you want in the Taurus area of your life going forward. I’ve talked about this area *a lot* over the past year or so and this is a great time to reflect and review the insights, changes, and new goals that may have developed in that time. In a couple of weeks, you’ll be offered a bright shiny new beginning, and knowing what you want is the key to making the most of it.

In general, Monday is maximum Mercury because the Moon is in Virgo (ruled by Mercury) and Mercury is getting a power-up from the Sun. Through it all remember to breathe and respond rather than fume and react if at all possible.

Tuesday 5/2:

Tuesday, the Moon moves into Libra giving a bit of relief from the Mercury shenanigans. Don’t get me wrong, Mercury is still doing his thing but for the moment, the Moon is answering to a very happy Venus - which should make today pretty darn pleasant and great for any of those productive tasks you want to get done this week. 

Seriously, think of the Libra Moon as the calm before the Scorpio eclipse storm.

Wednesday 5/3:

Wednesday is another productive day to have the meetings, write the content, and get the things done. It’s also a great day or night to do social things, maybe not a first date what with the retrograde going strong, but friends and existing love interests

Thursday has the potential to be lovely and romantic, creative, inspired, and poetic. *However* it’s probably going to be pretty difficult to know what is true and what is a creative interpretation of the truth. 

This is the perfect day to remind yourself that feelings aren’t facts and to take the additional time necessary to gather additional information before making any final decisions.

I fully expect emotions to amp up throughout the day as we head into the final Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio.

Friday at 1:34 am Eastern, we have the final Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio. Think of it as a culmination of not only the New Moon cycle that began with the Aries Eclipse two weeks ago but also of the dramatic new beginnings and endings that have occurred in this area of life since the fall of 2021. 

After the eclipse, consider what else you need to rid yourself of in the Scorpio area of life so that you can move forward unencumbered when the nodes finally leave in July.

Sunday, Venus moves into Cancer. 

The house where you find Cancer is an area of life where you are likely to want more emotional security - but that means something different for each person.
