Astrology for the Week of October 11 - October 17

Monday:

Think of Monday and - to an extent - the rest of the week, as a time to integrate or process all of the activity the was swirling around last week. Both Pluto and Saturn went direct, which meant a lot of heavy energy. They’ll be picking up steam this week, but the movement for Pluto is one MINUTE (not a degree, an actual minute of which each degree has 60) and Saturn only manages 3 minutes. 

It’s sort of like when a cruise ship starts. You can feel the engine humming but there aren’t any waves yet - just the anticipation of being out in open water. That’s the energy of today and the rest of the week.

Tuesday, the engine is continuing to rev up and it’s a generally nice day. The only action in the sky is centered around the Moon and may show up as a little extra chattiness or maybe being a little more short-tempered. But nothing major and unless you have something lighting up your chart specifically, I wouldn’t expect anything big.

Wednesday morning might feel a little intense or heavy but otherwise, the afternoon is where the action is. It’s a productive day for shopping, working on a project that requires some sort of artistic influence, or even going on a date. Maybe a little on the serious side, but still pleasant overall.

Friday has one of the loveliest aspects of the month with the Sun trine Jupiter. It’s buoyant energy that encourages adventure (specifically in your Libra and Aquarius houses). It flavors the entire week but is exact at 7:29 am.

Saturday has the exact Mercury sextile Venus aspect, but it has been contributing to the feeling of easy conversations all week. This is a great day for clear harmonious communication (to the extent that anything is clear during a Mercury retrograde).

And now we have arrived at Sunday, which I’d like to push into next week’s forecast but it’s good for you to start preparing now. Sunday has a square between the Sun and Pluto. The aspect is exact at 7:12 am and the drive for change may have started to build over the last couple of days. The areas of life this will show up for you are wherever you have Libra and Capricorn. If you don’t know where that is, think of it as a tension between how you are showing up in the world and the changes you need to make to show up differently. Change is hard. If you’re currently a couch potato and you want to show up 6 months from now as a marathon runner - that’s not going to happen curled up with Netflix. If you’re feeling that sort of drive for change, start plotting out your trajectory because next week the ship picks up steam as more planets turn direct and we power up with a full moon.
