[Fate & Free Will ] Astrology for the Week of February 16 - 22

You know how a season finale always ends with something BIG that pushes the plot forward? This week is like that. You won’t know the full extent of the new plotline or even who is going to be in the next season as you watch the story unfold but events this week should have an ‘edge of your seat’ quality to them.

Monday is tense. The disruption from the weekend is still being processed while the mood is combative and getting more so as the eclipse approaches. People are dug in and not interested in compromise.

Tuesday's solar eclipse in Aquarius opens a chapter that runs until early 2028, on the same timeline as the Saturn-Neptune copresence in Aries. These two processes are tied together from the start. What begins here is hard to see clearly, partly because eclipses work that way and partly because the planet responsible for how this plays out is in terrible shape and about to dissolve further on Friday. The disruption that's been building is baked into this eclipse.

Whatever gets built from this point forward gets built without a clear plan, under pressure, and probably before you're ready. The historical track record for things built under these conditions is surprisingly good, as long as you don't wait for clarity before you start.

• Best for: Beginnings you can't fully see yet, committing to something without needing to know how it ends, trusting the necessity of what's starting.
• Potential Challenges: False starts, building on unstable ground, mistaking urgency for direction, the fog not lifting when you want it to.

Thursday the Moon moves through the exact spot where Saturn and Neptune meet tomorrow and the thing you've been maintaining out of habit rather than conviction, the skill or identity you've kept at the edges because there wasn't room for it, the structure you knew wasn't holding but kept propping up anyway, could begin to become visible. You might find yourself already responding to what's crumbling before you've fully processed that it's gone.

• Best for: Responding to what's necessary rather than what's comfortable, starting something without a complete plan, saying yes to the thing you've been treating as optional or impossible.
• Potential Challenges: Disorientation, building before you're ready, not recognizing what's important while it's happening.

Friday the Saturn-Neptune conjunction goes exact. Everything that's been building since Saturn entered Aries last week and the eclipse on Tuesday gets amped all the way up. 

This doesn't mean everything changes today, but the process that runs through early 2028 is now fully locked in. Whatever Saturn and Neptune are dissolving and rebuilding in your life, this is the point where you should start seeing through the fog.

• Best for: Deciding what dream is worth fighting for, building the improbable.
• Potential Challenges: Impatience with the vision, overwhelm, overcommitting, clarity about something you'd rather not know yet.

Sunday is delightful, it’s the light at the end of the tunnel, and the reward for making it through this gauntlet of a week.

 Venus and Jupiter, both at their best, connect in a way that makes beauty, generosity, and abundance readily available. After the week you (we? the world?) just had, this is the soft landing that reminds us of the wonder and beauty available amidst the chaos. (It’s also a bit of a preview for when Venus and Jupiter get face to face in June). 

There's an undercurrent of intensity that won't fully let go, but it's background noise compared to what's being offered.

• Potential Challenges: Overindulgence, overspending, saying yes to too much because it all looks/feels good.
