[Fate & Free Will ] Astrology for the Week of February 9 - 15

This week is deceptively quiet for containing two massive shifts. Venus splashes into Pisces on Tuesday and Saturn storms into Aries on Friday. At least there’s space to really feel what these transits will be like without a lot of extra background noise.

Monday is very Mondayish. It’s a little cranky and unpredictable but if you embrace your inner (or nearby) curmudgeon, you might be surprised by what you can accomplish. 

• Best for: Breaking out of a rut, confrontations that needed to happen
• Potential Challenges: Crankiness, disagreements, unpredictability, taking things too seriously.

Tuesday morning Venus moves into Pisces at 5:18 am eastern. Here she is exalted and at her most delicious and it dramatically changes the tone of the day (and week). This one transit will be doing most of the heavy lifting for bringing respite from the rest of the chaos of this week/month. 

After weeks in Aquarius where desire was fixed and persistent but constrained, she moves into Pisces where she's at her most powerful and most generous. This isn't the consumerist version of love where attraction is about what you can get. This is love as devotion, passion that builds and joins together, desire that sees the divine in the other.

There's an abundance available, a capacity for beauty and pleasure and connection that goes beyond the transactional. Art, music, poetry, romance, worship, generosity, and compassion all of these flow more easily. If there was ever a time to trust that love and beauty are available to you, this is it.

• Best for: Romance, art, devotion, generosity, beauty, compassion, spiritual connection, seeing the divine in others.
• Potential Challenges: Idealization, escapism, loving the fantasy, losing yourself in the other, spending too much.

In many ways, Venus is moving in and providing a glow up to an area of life that has been harder than is reasonable for the last couple of  years as Saturn trudged through and to a greater extent the last 13 years where Neptune was making it harder to find firm ground. By rising sign:

• Aries Rising: Romance or pleasure may have a secretive quality, or you might find more satisfaction in solitude than usual. Generosity happens behind the scenes, and the art or beauty that feeds you most might be the stuff nobody else sees.
• Taurus Rising: Your people become more enjoyable to be around, or new ones show up who feel like they were always supposed to be there. What you're working toward starts to feel worth it, and the communities you belong to have more to offer.
• Gemini Rising: You might be more likable professionally, or work itself becomes more pleasurable. Recognition is possible, and the public sees something in you they want to be around.
• Cancer Rising: Learning becomes enjoyable and travel has a romantic or beautiful quality. You might fall in love with an idea, a place, or a teacher, and the bigger questions feel less like burdens and more like adventures.
• Leo Rising: This could be financial benefit through others, or finding beauty in the things most people avoid looking at. What has scared you might be what draws you in.
• Virgo Rising: This is one of the better Venus transits for relationships. Existing partnerships become more enjoyable, someone new shows up, or contracts and negotiations are more favorable. 
• Libra Rising: The daily grind becomes less of a grind and work is more pleasant. You might find pleasure in taking care of your body, and the people (or pets) you interact with every day are a bit lovelier to be around.
• Scorpio Rising: This is Venus at her most delightful for you. Create something, fall in love, have fun. Whatever brings you joy has room to expand, and you have permission to enjoy yourself.
• Sagittarius Rising: Your living space becomes more beautiful or more enjoyable to be in, and family relationships soften. There's pleasure in being home or with family that wasn't there before.
• Capricorn Rising: Conversations are more pleasant and your immediate world becomes a little more beautiful. Siblings or neighbors are easier to deal with, and daily interactions have a sweetness to them.
• Aquarius Rising: Income could increase or spending becomes more enjoyable. What you own starts to feel like enough, and your sense of what you're worth improves.
• Pisces Rising: People find you more attractive and you feel more attractive. There's a glow that wasn't there before, and others notice.

Thursday’s a little more frustrating and confusing. It very much has the ‘are we there yet’ vibe that’s a little whiney and impatient because you just want to get to the destination and start the party.

• Potential Challenges: Impatience, frustration, whining, wanting to skip to the good part.

Sunday the volume dial starts to get turned up. The Moon moves into Aquarius, where we will have an eclipse on Tuesday, and there's a sense of something building and the drama could start showing up ahead of the main event.
